HBA opens registration for Home Builder & Materials EXPO 2026

Thailand’s Home Builder Association (HBA) has opened an official registration page for Home Builder & Materials EXPO 2026. The association’s page describes an event that brings together home-building companies, construction-material businesses and home-finance services for people considering a new-build residential project.

The same official page presents registration as the route for prospective visitors to record their housing interests before attending. It does not itself create a construction appointment, quotation or contract.

The registration questions are not limited to projects in Bangkok. Registrants can select the region in which they intend to build: Bangkok and its metropolitan area, northern Thailand, central Thailand, the northeast, the west, the east or the south. A prospective owner planning a home in Chiang Mai or Lamphun can therefore select northern Thailand on the official form.

The registration form asks for practical project information

The HBA EXPO 2026 form asks registrants to identify their intended number of storeys, approximate floor area, construction-budget range, reason for attending and expected decision period. The floor-area choices run from no more than 200 square metres to more than 1,001 square metres. The budget choices run from no more than THB 2.50 million to more than THB 20.01 million.

Reasons for attending include viewing house designs, looking for a home-building company and reviewing offers available at the event. Decision-period choices include within three months, within six months, one to two years and more than two years. These categories are fields on a registration form. They are not published survey results and should not be presented as market-share or consumer-behaviour statistics.

The official page covers builders, materials and home-related services

HBA states that the event brings home-building companies, material suppliers and home-related services together so visitors can review options and discuss details. The page also displays examples of house designs across several styles and sizes, including Contemporary, Modern, Modern Classic, Modern Luxury, Minimal–Muji and Modern Tropical.

Some displayed house-design entries include bedrooms, bathrooms and stated floor areas. Other entries show no floor-area figure or display zero square metres. Prospective clients should therefore verify the current specification with the relevant design owner or event organiser before relying on an online listing.

What the Home Builder Association says about its role

On its official “About” page, HBA says it has served as a centre for cooperation among home-building businesses since 2004, with the objective of developing the sector’s capabilities. Its website also provides member search, house-design search and educational articles.

Finding a company in a membership directory is one item of background information. It does not replace project-specific checks of the contract, construction drawings, material specifications, bill of quantities, payment milestones or warranty provisions.

Information northern Thailand homeowners can prepare

The subjects used in the HBA registration form provide a factual starting list for people planning a custom home in Chiang Mai or Lamphun: land location, intended storeys, approximate floor area, preliminary budget, intended use and the expected decision period. These items can make an initial discussion more specific, but they are not a completed design or a final construction quotation.

Frequently asked questions

Does the HBA page say that the event is held in Chiang Mai?

The page reviewed for this report includes northern Thailand as a project-region choice. That should not be interpreted as confirmation that the event venue is in Chiang Mai. Visitors should obtain the latest date, time and venue directly from the organiser.

Does registration create a home-building contract?

No. Registration records an interest in attending the event; it is not a construction agreement.

Can the budget range on the form replace a project BOQ?

No. A preliminary range is an early planning input. A project BOQ must relate to the agreed drawings, scope, materials, quantities and prices.
